About Michael

Hello! I have been designing and handcrafting furniture for customers for twenty five  years. I started my own business in 2010, in Vermont. I grew up in rural Vermont, were I developed a strong work ethic, and
“anything is possible” outlook.

I was fortunate to have apprenticed at a young age with a father, who used all eighteenth century hand tools.

I graduated from UVM, with a degree in Art History and Architectural Studies. My furniture appreciation began, when I was in grade school. Going to estate auctions, with my parents, was beneficial for understanding proportion, style and joinery. For fifteen years, I worked at our family business, then began my own business seven years ago.

Today, My furniture reflects clean simple lines of Shaker Furniture, details from High Style-Early American furniture and Country Cottage Furniture. The last three years, I have started designing and crafting Aluminum and Steel and Wood furniture. My appreciation of simple, clean lines and the mix of metal and wood, will be added to my portfolio.   My designs reflect my background in Early Antiques and Contemporary studies.

I enjoy creating pieces for customers, which will be enjoyed for generations.

I have run a family business and my business in Charleston SC, Isle La Motte VT and Lewisburg, TN. I have a showroom in Vermont, and I am currently setting up a workshop in middle Tennessee.

Me and my super pup Emmie!
